Fence Cleaning

Fence Cleaning Services

Wood, vinyl, and metal fence cleaning across the Ark-La-Tex region. Restore the color, kill the mildew, prep for stain. Marshall, TX based, 60-mile radius.

Professional Fence Cleaning Across the Ark-La-Tex

Fences in East Texas and Northwest Louisiana take a beating. Pine pollen coats them in spring. Humidity bonds with mildew through summer. Red clay rain splash stains the bottom rails year-round. Within three or four years, an unmaintained wood fence reads more grey-green than the warm cedar it started as. A vinyl fence develops a chalky algae film. Wrought iron picks up rust bloom and mold colonies in the joints. Ark-La-Tex Pressure Pros restores all three back to original color, kills the biological growth at the root, and (for wood) leaves the surface ready for stain or sealer if you want to lock in the result.

We do not blast every fence with the same nozzle. Cedar privacy fences need softwash chemistry plus low pressure to lift the grey weathering layer without splintering the boards. Vinyl wants a degreasing pre-treatment plus moderate pressure on a wide-fan tip. Wrought iron and aluminum tubular fences need a chemistry that strips mold and rust film simultaneously. Every fence wash starts with us walking the run, testing one section, and confirming the right approach before we run the full job. That is the difference between a clean fence and a damaged one.

What We Restore on Your Fence

A typical residential fence wash in Marshall, Shreveport, Bossier City, or Longview removes four buildup layers: spring pine pollen film, summer mildew and algae, red clay splash from the bottom 12 inches, and oxidation/UV greying on the south-facing side. Commercial fence cleaning around HOAs and apartment communities adds two more: scuff marks from foot traffic and graffiti tagging. We address all six categories within a single visit when possible.

Wood Fences

Cedar, pine, redwood. Softwash chemistry restores natural color without splintering.

Vinyl Fences

PVC and composite. Degreaser pre-treatment + moderate pressure for streak-free finish.

Iron & Aluminum

Wrought iron, tubular aluminum, ornamental panels. Mold + rust film stripped together.

Why Choose Ark-La-Tex Pressure Pros

Test Section First

Every fence wash starts with a test section so you see the result on a sample area before we commit the whole run. No surprises.

Stain-Ready Wood

If you plan to stain or seal afterward, we leave the surface neutralized and properly dry-time spec’d so the new finish bonds correctly.

Plant Protection

We pre-soak landscaping along the fence line and rinse afterward. No browned hostas, no killed groundcover. Standard procedure on every job.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does fence cleaning cost?

Standard residential wood privacy fence (100 linear ft, both sides) runs $180 to $320. Vinyl fence at the same length runs $140 to $240. Wrought iron and aluminum runs $200 to $360 due to slower per-foot speed. Free on-site estimates — call (318) 401-2772.

Will fence cleaning damage my wood?

Not when done properly. We use softwash chemistry plus low pressure (under 800 PSI on cedar) so the wood grain is not opened up or splintered. The damaged-fence look you see online is from contractors using zero-degree turbo nozzles at 3,000+ PSI — we never do that on wood.

How long does the cleaning result last?

For wood fences, expect 18-30 months before mildew and pollen film return. Vinyl and metal hold cleaner longer (3-5 years). The Ark-La-Tex humidity is the limiting factor; coastal areas would actually hold cleaner longer because the salt air is less mildew-friendly than our Pine Belt humidity.

Can you clean the fence right before I stain it?

Yes — this is one of our most-requested service combinations. We clean and neutralize the wood, then leave the proper dry-time before stain (typically 48-72 hours depending on weather). The clean surface gives the stain dramatically better penetration and lifespan.

Do you protect plants and grass during fence cleaning?

Yes — standard procedure. We pre-soak landscaping along the fence line with clean water before applying any cleaning chemistry. After the wash we rinse the soil thoroughly. We have not killed a hosta yet.

Will cleaning remove existing stain or paint?

If a fence has solid-color paint or thick stain in poor condition, cleaning may lift loose paint chips, which is actually beneficial if you plan to repaint. If the stain is in good condition, our process cleans without stripping it. We confirm the right approach during the on-site estimate.

Do you handle commercial HOA and apartment fence runs?

Yes. We service multi-family properties, apartment communities, HOA-managed neighborhoods, and commercial fencing throughout the Ark-La-Tex region. Volume pricing for runs over 1,000 linear feet. Insurance certificates provided.

Do you serve my area?

We serve communities within a 60-mile radius of Marshall, TX, including all of Harrison County, Caddo Parish, Bossier Parish, Gregg County, and Rusk County. Call (318) 401-2772 to confirm.
